The Constitution:
The Constitution is 4400 words long. It covers 4 pages and has 7 articles and 27 amendments. It is the most powerful document in the nation. It gives the government its powers and its limits. It also gives the peoples their rights and created the 3 branches of government; Judicial, Legislative and Executive. Without the Constitution our country would fall apart.

Preamble:
The Preamble is the opening segment to the Constitution. It serves as an introduction to the rest of the Constitution. Because of this, courts cannot refer to it to decide on a case.There are different interpretations to the line "WE the People." Some people take it to mean all citizens and some take it to mean the people who signed the constitution.
The Preamble is as follows:
"We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America"
Article 1:
Article 1 is on the legislative branch which discusses The Legislature, The House of Representatives,The Senate, Elections, Meetings, Membership, Rules, Journals, Adjournment, Compensation, Revenue Bills, Legislative Process, Presidential Veto, Powers of Congress, Limits on Congress, and Powers Prohibited of States.
Article 2: Article 2 is on the executive branch which discusses The President, Civilian Power over Military, Cabinet, Pardon Power, Appointments, State of the Union, Convening Congress, and Disqualification.
Article 3:
Article 3 is on The Judicial Branch which discusses Judicial Powers, Trial by Jury, Original Jurisdiction, Jury Trials, and Treason.
Article 4:
Article 4 is on The States which discusses Each State Honoring All Others, State Citizens, Extradition, New States, and Republican Government.
Article 5:
Article 5 discusses the amendments.
Article 6: Article 6 is on Debts, Supremacy, and Oaths.

Article 7 discusses Ratification

The constitution is currently located at the National Archives in Washington, DC. The address of the National Archives is 700 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW Washington, DC 20408-0001. It is protected by bullet proof glass. Behind the bullet proof glass, it is protected by nitrogen to so it doesn't deteriorate.
